Vilamoura’s European Poker-Tour, Day 3: 24 remaining

Vilamoura’s European Poker-Tour, Day 3: 24 remaining Anthony Lellouche the driver of Day 3

Day 3 of PokerStars’ EPT Vilamoura passed out within a flash. Only four levels were sufficient to eliminate almost two-thirds of remaining fields. Just by noon according to local time, the left out 69 players started pushing for money while they sat for the table. Finally after a six-hour stint being felt, only 24 of them survived for the penultimate day tomorrow for bagging their chips.

The starting line of the day witnessed, players leaping off at a quick pace. The day saw an hour when only four players got eliminated. The bubble was bust half-way of second level itself. Luis Rodriguez went down to 50th place. The before bubble bust-outs were Andy Black, Rolf Slotboom, Alexander Kravchenko and Stevenvan Zadelhoff. The day saw many medium stacks’ survival while the top brass were busy.

To begin the day, Jeff Sarwar was leading but Anthony Lellouche quickly overtook him by bouncing around broken tables. Sarwar however shoveled ghee into the fire, still Lellouche was supposed to be the driver today. The French poker was the first ever to make more than 1 million chips. He was there for some time before stuffing in 1.134 million by the end of Day 3.

Lellouche is the one leading the EPT show as of now, but the future can’t be decided just like that. Sarwar is looking dangerous with 913,500 on heels. PokerStars Pro Jude Ainsworth and Ruben Visser are among the top ten, with trickster Jan Skampa and Ricardo Sousa still on the list. With today’s quick play, the stacks have become relatively and that gives a hope to bottom dwellers as well. Jim Collopy “Mr_BigQueso”, Pierre Neuville and Michel Abecassis will try comeback tomorrow.

Day 4 will begin with remaining 24players on Saturday at noon (WET). Join us here at PokerNationsx.com tomorrow for more action, live.
